With almost 30 years in the global machinery industry, Andreas Walter Ernst has been leveraging his experience in developing strategic relationships within the different markets and regions to drive sales, marketing, and product support strategies. Throughout those years customer focus and team building have been the most important factors of success.

Born and raised in Straubing, Germany, near Munich, Ernst started his work career in 1994 with a manufacturer for material handling equipment and cranes focusing on developing worldwide markets and to drive marketing, sales and servicing strategies.

In January 2006, he moved from Germany to Charlotte, NC, USA using his industry and intercultural experience to further grow the company’s business in the different industries and markets.

Within his career Andreas W. Ernst held different positions at Sennebogen in Germany and North America focusing on lifting, recycling, ports and logging industries. During his time at Sennebogen the brand excelled from newcomer to market leader. In 2018 he became President/CEO of Steinert North America, a market leader of state-of-the-art sorting and separation technology for the mining, industrial/municipal scrap metals, plastics, and recycling market. In his current position as General Manager Terex Lifting & Handling Americas, which he took on in early 2021, Andreas is leading different teams providing sales, marketing, service and parts support to their partners in North, Central & South America for 5 different Terex brands (Terex TRT, Terex TC, Terex SE, Franna, Fuchs).

During the past couple of years Andreas has also been an active member of different industry associations serving on a variety of boards, committees and councils.

He and his wife, Sara, have two children, Virginia and Colin, and reside in Belmont, North Carolina within the greater Charlotte, North Carolina region.
