TOPIC: Improving tower crane operation with virtual design and construction (VDC) techniques
Russ Gibbs joined Brasfield & Gorrie in 2011 in his role to oversee the company’s use of innovation- and construction-related technologies. He has multiple years’ experience in BIM (Building Information Modelling) related technologies.
Russ offers Brasfield and Gorrie and its clients the ability to see and appreciate the construction process from multiple angles. By working early on with design teams and establishing collaborative workflows, he brings project teams together, using BIM as the medium for communication. He is passionate about understanding the processes and workflows that can streamline our industry by the use of BIM technologies. From early conceptual estimating, to laying out and verifying points from a model in the field, Russ is always seeking a better way to communicate and solve problems.
His job also involves collecting and sharing knowledge about the innovative ideas and activities taking place around the company. He works with all levels of Brasfield & Gorrie personnel to understand their daily needs and to develop creative and innovative solutions.
